Warehouse

The Warehouse section covers how a single warehouse is defined and operated in structure, not the day-to-day stock movements described under Warehouse operations. Here you maintain the location map, policies for where goods may sit, picking visit ordering, picking-cart locations, and the read-only audit of layout edits (Warehouse logs).

  • Locations — Define and use the four location types: receiving, storage, quarantine, and returns, so operational moves stay within allowed location types. Each type has distinct rules for what stock may reside there and how it is treated in pick and reservation logic.
  • Warehouse settings — Parameters and options scoped to the selected warehouse.
  • Picking strategy — Warehouse-level choice of how pick visit order is derived (for example directional strategies and, where enabled, a custom ordered list of pick bins).
  • Picking carts — Management of picking cart locations (bins of type picking cart): create carts, change status, print labels, and remove empty carts from the same Locations experience used for storage and receiving.
  • Warehouse logs — Read-only location layout audit trail for the selected warehouse: who changed the warehouse map (zones, aisles, bays, levels, bins), and which structural actions occurred (create, delete, restore, block or unblock, pickable on or off, inventory lock or unlock). This is not stock movement history; use Inventory and Handling unit logs for quantity and HU lifecycle traceability.

Select a warehouse in the application before using these screens; most items require an active warehouse context.
