Customer-data anonymization

Anonymization is used to protect customer personal data.

After anonymization, information that can identify the customer is no longer normally displayed on the order.

The button appears only for users with the dedicated customer-data anonymization right.

If the button is missing, the role does not allow this operation or the order does not have the needed data.

The button appears in customer information when WMS has enough identifying data, such as email and phone.

If this information is missing, anonymization cannot be started from that order.

Anonymization is used when there is a real reason, such as a customer data-protection request, an internal retention rule, expired data-retention period, or a need to limit access to personal information.

  1. Check that this is the right order.
  2. Press the anonymization button.
  3. Confirm the action.
  4. Wait for processing.

The result may not be visible instantly. If data still appears, reload the page or check later.

Check that active delivery or return work no longer depends on the customer details, that company procedure allows anonymization, and that anonymization is not being used as a way to correct an order.
