Dashboard

Dashboard is the starting page for client users. It gives a quick view of orders that need attention, stock status, the current day’s order rhythm, and plan limit usage.

The dashboard does not change stock, create orders, or process operations. It helps the user decide which page should be opened next: Picking, Packing, Stock, Orders, or Billing.

Putaway WMS calculates the dashboard for the authenticated client account, the warehouses the user can access, and the user’s permissions.

Display rules:

  • client users see the dashboard; Putaway administrative users are sent to the administrative dashboard;
  • Warehouse stock summary appears only with stock report permission;
  • Operations and Order flow appear with picking or packing permission;
  • Plan usage appears with billing permission;
  • a regular user sees only the warehouses assigned to them; the client administrator sees the client’s warehouses.

In normal mode, these actions appear:

  • Edit dashboard opens customization mode.
  • View global appears when the user has access to multiple warehouses and changes the operations and stock cards into totals across accessible warehouses.
  • View warehouse returns to the selected warehouse.
  • The refresh icon button reloads Operations, Warehouse stock summary, and Order flow. Plan usage remains a separate card and loads when the page opens.

In customization mode, these actions appear:

  • Reset dashboard restores widget positions to the default layout;
  • Cancel exits editing without keeping unsaved changes;
  • Save stores the layout for the current user.

Customization mode also shows checkboxes for widgets. At least one widget must remain visible. Widgets can be moved with the drag handle and resized in the grid.

The Operations card shows the current day’s status.

Displayed metrics:

  • Total orders: standard orders and returns with the order date in the current day;
  • Orders: standard orders from the current day;
  • Returns: return orders from the current day;
  • Orders to pick: standard orders waiting for picking;
  • Picked orders: standard orders picked during the current day;
  • Average picking time: the average duration between picking start and picking completion for orders picked today;
  • Orders to pack: standard orders that are picked or in packing;
  • Packed orders: standard orders completed in packing during the current day;
  • Average packing time: the average duration between packing start and packing completion for orders packed today.

If there are orders from the current day without an assigned warehouse and they are not cancelled, the dashboard displays Unassigned orders separately. These orders must be checked in Orders before entering the operational flow.

The Warehouse stock summary card shows quantities and values for accessible warehouses.

Displayed metrics:

  • Total stock and Total stock value;
  • Sellable stock and Sellable stock value;
  • Quarantine stock and Quarantine stock value;
  • Reserved stock;
  • Available for sale;
  • Ordered stock;
  • Missing stock and Missing stock value.

Financial values use the currency configured for stock display. If that setting is not available, Putaway WMS uses the currency from stock data or EUR. For product-level analysis, use Stock. To investigate the causes of a difference, check Stock history and Traceability.

The Order flow card is a current-day chart split into one-hour intervals.

The chart tracks:

  • Received orders;
  • Picked orders;
  • Packed orders.

In warehouse view, the chart tracks the selected warehouse. In global view, if there are multiple warehouses, the chart displays series for each warehouse. For analysis over longer periods, use Order cycle report, Picking report, and Packing report.

The Plan usage card displays current consumption against plan limits.

It displays limits for:

  • users;
  • integrations with external platforms;
  • warehouses, zones, aisles, bays, levels, and bins;
  • handling units;
  • SKUs, categories, attributes, and attribute values;
  • suppliers, brands, lots, and units of measure.

For details about subscription, credits, and payment methods, use Billing. To connect external platforms, use Integrations.

If a warehouse is selected, the cards display data for that warehouse. If the user has access to multiple warehouses, the View global button changes the display to totals and lists by warehouse.

Global view does not show warehouses the user cannot access.

The dashboard layout is saved per user and client account. Changing the layout does not change operational data and does not change permissions.

If the same layout is modified in another session before saving, Putaway WMS reloads the latest version and asks the user to save again. If the user does not have the required permission to save preferences, the change is refused and an error is displayed.

  • If permission for a card is missing, the card does not appear or cannot load data.
  • If the user has no assigned warehouses, warehouse-related cards have no data to display.
  • If current-day data cannot be loaded, the card displays the error message and the rest of the dashboard remains available.
  • The dashboard is not a historical report. For period analysis, use the pages in Reports.
